At what revenue does fractional CFO start making sense?+

Typically $2M+ in revenue, or any business preparing for outside capital, an exit, or a major operational shift. Below $2M, our Strategic Finance lite engagement (KPIs + quarterly review) usually fits better.

How is this different from hiring a full-time CFO?+

A full-time CFO at Bay Area comp runs $250–400K + equity. Fractional CFO is typically $5–12K/month for the same strategic firepower at 25–40% of a full-time CFO's hours. You get senior-level work without the W-2 commitment until the business actually needs it five days a week.

Do you serve as the board-facing CFO?+
